If your oven is cool then you may have child lock turned on or need to power cycle the range to unlock the door.

If no food or utensils are in the oven start a self clean cycle then hit clear off after 60 seconds. This is to prevent any possible injuries. If you try to use your oven and find it locked press the clear or reset button to stop the oven and turn it off. If this doesn t work unplug it from the electrical outlet and wait a few minutes.

If that does not unlock the door run a short self clean cycle 1 2 hours. Wait a minute or two and then try to open it again. To unlock an oven hold down the lock button on your control panel for 2 or 3 seconds and wait for the oven to beep to indicate it s unlocked. If it s still locked start an oven cleaning cycle.

If you still cannot unlock the door then you can check the oven temperature sensor from the back. 3 set the flashing clock to the current time. Oven door is locked as a safety precaution your range s door will lock when the oven gets too hot. Then plug it back in again which may reset the temperature gauge and cause it to unlock.

4 slide the door locking lever on front of the oven if applicable or simply just open the door. Remove power again and remove the back panel. Allow the cleaning cycle to run for about 60 seconds and then cancel it. 1 remove power to the oven unplug the oven from the power outlet or flip the circuit breaker for the oven.

2 wait approximately 10 minutes and reapply power to the oven. If you suspect that the sensor is at fault you should first remove the power to the oven for a few moments and then reconnect.
